STEVENS POINT — The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is announcing an upcoming Active Shooter Preparation Class to foster awareness and preparation for the public.
It’s designed to encourage people to take the time to understand your surroundings and environment before an emergency occurs, and ask yourself “What if” questions and develop a plan. This presentation is intended to provide the public with guidance on how to prepare for and respond to active shooter crisis situations.
It will provide valuable information for those working in or attending schools, churches, office settings, and other similar venues.
The class will be held at the Portage County Annex Building Conference Rooms 1 & 2, 1462 Strongs Ave., Stevens Point, on May 24 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
To register for this class please email: [email protected] or call 715-346-1819. We expect this to be a popular class, and space is limited, so register early.
