Pavelski, Sharks eliminated by Vegas in Western Conference Semis
Plover native Joe Pavelski and the San Jose Sharks had their season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals at San Jose Sunday, May 6.
With Vegas holding a 3-2 series lead, Game 6 he game was tied 0-0 heading into the second period, when Vegas scored at the 6:33 and 15:38 marks to take a 2-0 lead.
Vegas added a goal with 1:51 to play in the third period to win 3-0 and advance to the Western Conference Finals with the 4-2 series win.
In Pavelski’s 12th NHL season, the former Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) standout was second on the Sharks with 22 goals and 66 points during the regular season, while he finished the postseason with two goals and six assists in 10 games.
