Sylvester “Silver” Niemczyk, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 8 2018. He was born on May 24, 1932 to William and Martha (Trzinski) in the Town of Linwood, WI. He grew up in Mill Creek and lived in Stevens Point until 1971 and moved to Plover where he currently resided.

He attended Green Meadow – Mill Creek schools up until grade 5 and then at a very early age began working to help support his family at the local farms. He married the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Beverly Mae Bohm on May 9, 1953 in Kileen, TX.

Rapids until his retirement in 1995. He and his wife volunteered at the Holly Shoppe and served as the Co-Chairpersons for 5 yrs. for its annual Plant sale.

Silver loved anything mechanical. He was the family mechanic and fix-it man. It was here that he was in his element. In his later years he enjoyed traveling with his wife and family in their truck camper to many U.S. states including Alaska. They spent their 40th Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii and their 60th on a cruise to Alaska. They also enjoyed several cruises to the Caribbean and New England/Canada. Throughout his life Silver enjoyed Camping, Woodcrafts, Gardening, Hunting, Fishing, Playing Board games, and in the past several years playing cards with friends. Most of all Silver loved and cared for his extensive family.
