Here is a rundown of weekly events happening in the Stevens Point area that you won’t want to miss.

Friday, May 18

ArtsWalk & Mass Guitar Incident – 7:30 p.m.
-Strummers of all ages will gather in the square, 1039 Ellis St., to hold their very own jam session

Stevens Point Brewery Side Walk Sale – 10AM – 4PM
-Buy the very best in locally brewed suds, as Stevens Point Brewery holds their annual side walk sale, 2617 Water St.

Live Music: Tuck Pence at Rusty’s Backwater Saloon – 9PM
-Singer/Songwriter Tuck Pence will play Rusty’s Backwater Saloon, 1715 W. River Drive.

Saturday, May 19

2018 Washington Tiger Trek 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk – 8AM
-The 15th annual Tiger Trek kicks off early in the morning. Cost is $17 per participant. This run/walk will start at Washington Elementary School, 3500 Prais St.

Gwendolyn Clubb Benefit – 10AM – 3PM
-Gwendolyn was the first newborn to test positive in the state of Wisconsin for a rare disease called Pompe Disease. (Type II Glycogen Storage Disease) A benefit will be held at the Milladore Village Hall, located at 3720 County Rd. P.

Amherst Quilt, Craft and Amish Furniture Auction – 7AM – 3PM
-Catch hundreds of quilts, crafts, and Amish furniture at this annual event, 4505 Fairground Rd. in Amherst.

Polka Pow-Wow Spring Fling – 1PM – 6PM
-Held at the Moose Family Center, 1025 Second St. North, enjoy a day of polka, as well as Polish snacks and refreshments.

Russell Gymnastics Color Fun Run – 2PM
-The Russell Gymnastics Booster Club is hosting this un-timed color run, 5208B Heffron Ct. in Stevens Point. Cost is $25 per runner.

UWSP Commencement – 9:30 a.m.
-UWSP’s finest will take the stage in commencement ceremonies on Saturday. You can catch a live stream of the event, and more information by visiting https://www.uwsp.edu/commencement/Pages/default.aspx

Sunday, May 20

Spring Wildflower Hike
-Hosted at the Ice Age Trail, join this annual Spring wildflower hike skunk. This will take place on the corner of Highway D and Stratton Lake Road.

Thursday, May 24
Farmshed Plant Sale 2018 (May 24-29)
-Fresh fruits, vegetables, and more on hand from Farmshed’s Growing Collective Memorial Day Weekend, 1220 Briggs Ct.

Friday, May 25
Live Improv: Final Friday – 7PM
-The Final Friday of each month CWACT will host a potluck dinner followed by an improv workshop. No experience necessary, just a willingness to have fun! This is located at The Shack, 2952 Minnesota Ave.
