Aging & Disability Resource Center to host open house

STEVENS POINT — The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at Lincoln Center, located at 1519 Water Street, Stevens Point, will host an open house on Wednesday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will present new programs and highlight the building’s new look. Pottery Class demonstrations and tours of the building will be given throughout the event. Cooking demonstrations and samples of the ADRC’s new Sustainable Kitchen project will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and will include an overview of the local foods initiative. There will be a presentation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Identity Theft and Fraud Prevention for Seniors.
The official launch of the Cycling Without Age Program begins at 11 a.m., with rides offered until 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend a picnic lunch served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; RSVPs are appreciated. Muzzy Broadcasting will provide entertainment during that time. StrongBodies™, an evidence-based health program, will offer class observation from 1 to 2 p.m. Participants can visit program displays to have their names entered into a drawing to win a quilt donated by the Silver Threads Sewing Group.
