Here is a rundown of weekly local area events that you won’t want to miss.

Friday, May 25

Farmshed Plant Sale 2018 – 3PM – 7PM
-Farmshed’s Growing Collective Memorial Day Weekend will kick off, selling local fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens, located at Central Rivers Farmshed, 1220 Briggs Court. They will also hold hours on Saturday, May 26, from 9AM – 1PM.

Live Improv: Final Friday’s – 7PM
– The Final Friday of each month Central Wisconsin Area Community Theater, (cwACT) will host a potluck dinner followed by an improv workshop. No experience necessary, just a willingness to have fun! Located at 2952 Minnesota Ave.

Saturday, May 26

Rising Star Mill’s Annual Art Show and Sale – 10AM – 5PM/10AM – 4PM on Sunday, May 27
-Join one of the regions most popular art shows, as Rising Star Mill celebrates their 150th anniversary. Located at the Rising Star Mill, Highway Q in Nelsonville.

Mother Daughter Princess Tea – 2PM – 4PM
-Dress up at this event is encouraged, as St Paul’s United Methodist Church, 600 Wilshire Blvd., will host fun activities and a tea party lunch.

Monday, May 28

Memorial Day Observance

Planetarium Show: Bad Astronomy – 7:30 PM
-Find out the biggest myths and misconceptions at this free showing at the Allen F. Blocher Planetarium, 2001 Fourth Ave.

Tuesday, May 29

Farmshed Plant Sale 2018 – 5PM – 7PM
-Farmshed’s Growing Collective Memorial Day Weekend continues, selling local fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens, located at Central Rivers Farmshed, 1220 Briggs Court.

Thursday, May 31

Levitt AMP Stevens Point Series: Lili K – 6PM
-Stevens Point’s summer music series kicks off with artist Lili K, a fusion of jazz and hip-hop, performing at the Pfiffner Park bandshell.

Friday, June 1

Live Music: Cosmic Strings — 8PM
-Catch this live acoustic/folk jam group playing at the Elbow Room, 1321 Second St.

Movies in the Park: Big Hero 6 – 6PM
-Movies in the Park kicks off on Friday with a showing of “Big Hero 6” at the Pfiffner Park bandshell. Popcorn and root better to be provided. Admission is free.

St. Joseph Parish Picnic (June 1-3) 8AM – 6PM
-The annual picnic at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church kicks off, located at 1709 Wyatt Ave.
