To the Editor:

The Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers’ Association (SPARTA) would like to thank everyone who made the Spring sale a huge success. Anyone attending saw a large selection of books, DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes all donated by community members, thank you.

We would also like to thank the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum Board, Director Sandy Williams and staff at the Children’s Museum, and all of the SPARTA and community members that stepped up with setting up the sale, working it, and taking it down.

Proceeds will go to funding two scholarships through the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin and grants to non-profit organizations that provide services to children and the elderly.

We are getting ready for our Fall sale, Wednesday, Oct. 17 to Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018. SPARTA will continue to take in books, CDs and DVDs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the fourth Monday of every month, at our space on the first floor of the Children’s Museum Building, 1100 Main St. Stevens Point.
