John Fiers, Jr age 62 passed away on May 27, 2018 surrounded by family after a 16 year battle with liver disease and finally succumbing to liver cancer.

John was born on June 16th, 1955 in Oklahoma City to the late Reba and John Fiers, Sr and raised in Denver. He worked in the oil fields in Utah and moved to Phoenix in 1988 to take care of his ill father.
He married the love of his life Kim (Worzalla) August 24, 1991. He moved his aging Aunt Mary G into his home where he lovingly cared for her for many years.

John enjoyed teaching adult Special Education Sunday School and had a special place in his heart for each and every one of them. He often said he received more from them than he felt he ever gave.
He and his wife moved to WI in 2003 to be closer to her family and he fell in love with Stevens Point.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Kim, daughter Susan (John), 2 grandchildren Phoenix and Ford, sister Mary (Raleigh) and nieces and nephews.

John loved The Lord. He enjoyed music, animals, playing cards, debating, playing golf and helping others. He was an avid self-taught guitarist and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A memorial service for John will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday May 31, 2018 at Woodlands Church: 190 Hoover Ave. Plover, with visitation beginning at 9:30.
