Here’s a rundown of Stevens Point area events that you won’t want to miss.

Friday, June 1

Live Music: The Delta Duo — 8PM
-Catch this live acoustic/folk jam group playing at the Elbow Room, 1321 Second St.

Movies in the Park: Big Hero 6 – 6PM
-Movies in the Park kicks off on Friday with a showing of “Big Hero 6” at the Pfiffner Park bandshell. Popcorn and root better to be provided. Admission is free.

St. Joseph Parish Picnic (June 1-3) 8AM – 6PM
-The annual picnic at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church kicks off, located at 1709 Wyatt Ave.

Parade of Homes (June 1-4) *various times*
-At Golden Sands Parade of Homes the finest homes in the area are on display. For more information, please visit http://www.gshba.org/. This event is located at 1001 Theater Drive in Plover.

Saturday, June 2

Family Day at Camp Glacier Hollow & Free Pancake Breakfast – 9AM
-Held at the YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow, this event family-friendly camping event offers a free pancake breakfast, located at 9289 Pavelski Road, Nelsonville.

Walk Wisconsin
-The premier walking event in Central Wisconsin is back. Registration is $35. This walk will run through the Green Circle Trail, and start at Pfiffner Park, 1100 Crosby Avenue.

Sunday, June 3

Live Music: Max Koepke – 2PM – 6PM
-Musician Max Koepke will play Bullheads Bar & Grill, 3368 Campsite Drive.

Open House: a P.J. Jacobs 80th Anniversary Event – 11AM
-June 1, 2018 will mark the 80th anniversary of P.J. Jacobs. They will hold a special event to commemorate the anniversary with an open house, located at 2400 Main Street.

Walk for Wags – 11AM
-Join other walkers and their dogs at this annual event. Registration is $50, with proceeds to go towards the Humane Society of Portage County. This event will be held at Pfiffner Park.

Stevens Point Bi-Annual Air Show – 7AM
-The annual Stevens Point Airshow kicks off on June 3 with breakfast, lunch, and a deeper look into the aviation industry. More importantly, jaw-dropping acrobatic aviation performances will be on hand. This event is held at Stevens Point Municipal Airport, 4501 Hwy 66.

Wisconsin Korean War Veterans Memorial Ceremony and Program – 10:45 AM
-Held at the  Korean War Memorial of WI at Worzalla Park, this memorial ceremony will honor Korean War veterans.

Wednesday, June 6
City Band Concerts – 7PM
-The City Band kicks off their season on June 6 at Pfiffner Park with their opening show, “Timely Tunes”. Admission to this concert is free.

Live Music: The Presidents – 6PM
-Catch live music from cover band The Presidents. This concert will be held at PJ’s, and admission is free. Located at 601 N. Michigan Avenue.

Thursday, June 7
Live Music: Emmitt James – 6PM
-Head over to Pfiffner Park for Stevens Point’s 160th Birthday Party, as well as live music from artist Emmitt James.

Special Olympics Wisconsin State Summer Games – 8AM – 3PM (June 7-9)
-Enjoy the very best in Special Olympics competition as the state summer games kicks off on June 7. This annual event is held at the UWSP University Field, 2100 Maria Drive.

Saturday, June 9
Live Music: Bojo’s Mojo at Guu’s on Main
-Taking influences from The Allman Brothers and The Grateful Dead, catch Bojo’s Mojo at Guu’s, 1140 Main Street.
