City streets to receive chip sealing

STEVENS POINT — The City of Stevens Point will begin conducting its annual chip sealing program within the City limits, starting on Monday, June 4, and is anticipated to be completed by Friday, June 8, weather permitting.
Roadway users can expect dust and loose gravel along the corridors until the streets can be swept at which time a fog seal will be applied to the roadways.
The following streets are to receive treatment:

Beaver Dam Road
Birchwood Avenue
Black Bear Trail
Chickadee Lane
Elizabeth Avenue
Elmwood Avenue
Finch Lane
Glenwood Avenue
Halstad Drive
Hammpton Road
Hawk Lane
Hummingbird Lane
Hunter Oaks Drive
Ironwood Avenue
Jefferson Street
Kingfisher Drive
Lasalle Avenue
Manchester Court
Norway Pine Drive
Oakwood Avenue
Owl Lane
Partridge Way
Prescott Drive
Sandpiper Drive
Schiller Drive
Songbird Lane
Sunny Crest Drive
Warbler Lane
Wellington Court
Westmore Court
Whitetail Drive
Windy Drive
Woodland Street
Although roads will remain open to traffic during construction, roadway users can expect delays during the application periods. Delays with the chip seals may be in upwards of 20-minutes for each direction of travel. Delays with the fog seals may be in upwards of 2-hours for each direction of travel as environmental conditions will dictate the speed of cure time.
