Rosholt resident wins $1,000,000 scratch-off lottery

ROSHOLT — Patricia Jenks of Rosholt has won the first top prize of $1,000,000 playing the One Million Now! scratch game.
Jenks purchased her $30 One Million Now! ticket at Plainfield Amoco/BP at N6481 Fifth Avenue in Plainfield. When Jenks first scratched her ticket, she scratched the winning numbers play area and the first prize spot showing a 5X $10,000 prize. At the time, she thought she had a $50,000 winning ticket. It wasn’t until the retailer encouraged her to scratch the remaining spots that she realized it was a $1,000,000!
Retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive an incentive of 2 percent of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000.
There are a total of two $1,000,000 top prizes in the One Million Now! scratch game – one $1,000,000 top prize is still available. In addition to the two top prizes, players can win between $30 and $50,000.
Each scratch ticket costs $30.
