Get Your Accident Report When It’s Convenient for You

PORTAGE COUNTY — All Portage County Sheriff’s Office traffic crash reports are now available online for free at http://www.crashdocs.org/.

Anyone may obtain a copy of any Portage County crash report that took place from July 20, 2017 to the present at no charge. Reports can be accessed by date, name of individual involved, or our agency case number (i.e. report number). Online accident report distribution reduces the need for law enforcement to handle administrative tasks associated with locating, copying, and distributing accident reports.

This frees up public safety staff to provide more relevant services to the County.

No more trips to the Sheriff’s Office, emails, or phone calls to get a copy of your report. Now you can visit the CRASHDOCS.ORG web site 24 hours a day from home, at the office, or on the go. These are open records, and available to the public as is, as required by law. You can still request reports the old fashioned way, but processing delays and copying fees may be involved.
