Obituary: Dennis Barden

Dennis R (Raymond) Barden, Of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly early Monday morning, June 4, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Age 63 Dennis was born September 8, 1954 in Stevens Point. He is the son of Roselyn (Fletcher) Barden and the late Kenneth Barden. Dennis attended local grade schools and P.J. Jacobs High School. His marriage to Cynthia L. Kizewski took place on April 24, 1976 at Immaculate Conception Parish of Custer. His wife Cindy of 42 years survives. Dennis owned and operated a truck for Rock Ridge Trucking for over ten years, also owned and operated the Hitchin Rail Bar in Arnott with his wife Cindy for over 33 years. Dennis loved going on vacations, long motorcycle rides and Sunday Funday with the Packer Games. He enjoyed his run to the gas station for his morning coffee, picking asparagus (in his secret spots), making his famous cabbage soup that he shared with many family and friends, and taking a trip to the casino every so often, and will be remembered for his story telling at the bar. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Dennis name will be established at a later date. Dennis is survived by his wife Cindy, their children Jeremy (Jennifer) Barden, Candace (Matthew) Richter and Valleen (Jason) Rinka all of Stevens Point. His five grandchildren; Mallory, Aubrey and Kale Richter and Austin and Aidan Rinka. His mother Roselyn Barden of Plover, one sister Darlene (Randy) Yonke of Almond, Tod (Kimberly)  Barden of Plover, Brian Barden of Almond and Kip (Kimberlin) Barden of Pardeeville. Further survived by Marlene (Ron) Lech of Wisconsin Rapids, Tony (Marlene) Kizewski, Romie (Judy) Kizewski and Larry Kizewski all of Stevens Point, Sue Kizewski of Illinios, Rose Rzentkowski of Milwaukee and Marcie (Myron) Herek of Stevens Point.  He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth and a brother Ronald, and his Father and Mother in law Raymond and Isabelle Kizewski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday June 8, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. Rev. Gregory Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends, may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second St. Stevens Point, and from 9:30 A.M. Friday at St. Mary’s Church until the time for mass. There will be a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.  The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
