STEVENS POINT — Last night, Stevens Point celebrated its 160th birthday with history, hip-hop, and cake.

As a part of the Levitt AMP series, UWSP graduate and hip-hop artist Emmitt James joined the party with a live performance, which was followed by none other than cake, served for all in attendance. Each of the five sheet cakes represented a different time in Stevens Point history.

Hundreds attended the event, and Mayor Mike Wiza, Senator Patrick Testin, (R-Stevens Point) and Rep. Katrina Shankland (D-Stevens Point) were all on hand for the festivities.
