Letter: Thank you to CFCW, public, for supporting Interfaith Food Pantry

To the editor:
For the past six months the Interfaith Food Pantry of Portage County has been able to purchase food thru Feeding America because of a grant from Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin. This food has been essential for the many adults and children to work and go to school. With the money from C.F.C.W. we have been able to purchase the much needed food (protein and dairy) for our needy families.
We want to thank the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin for their commitment to help those who are food insecure in Portage County. And we also want to thank you, the public, for supporting this organization. We are blessed by your generosity. We appreciate your support of our mission to assist people in need in Portage County. The difference it makes in the lives of the people we serve is tremendous. Each pantry night we see recipients leave with boxes full of the much needed food. Thank you for being part of that assistance to families and children.
We continue to see an increase in the demand for our services, and we are thankful for your thoughtfulness and the helping hands you have provided. The Interfaith Food Pantry of Portage County is open to the public on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 5-8 pm. Recipients of the pantry must be residents of Portage County.
Thank you so much for this grant and support of the people of Portage County.
