New scam targets local area businesses

STEVENS POINT — Local authorities would like to make the public, especially local businesses, aware of an ongoing scam in the area.
According to a news release, Published by Sports Media, 7914 West Dodge Road #348 Omaha, NE 68114, has been contacting local businesses, and requesting credit card information for advertising with Stevens Point Area High School Athletics.
This company is not affiliated with the Stevens Point Area High School in any way and no personal or business information should be turned over to them.
