Margaret Neilson, age 92, of Brookdale Senior Living Community passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.

A Funeral will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Monday, June 25 with visitation at 10:30, with the service following at 11:00. Burial and committal prayers will follow at McDill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School.

Margaret was born August 29, 1925, in Allenton, Wisconsin, to the late John and Frieda (Kurth) Pamperin. After graduating from West Bend High School, she moved to Chicago and worked for the U.S. War Bond Division. While there, she met Ivan Neilson, who was in the U.S. Army. They were married November 20, 1951. After Ivan was discharged, they settled in Antigo, Wisconsin, where they both worked in the potato business. In 1963, they moved to Stevens Point and were employed by Wysocki Sales until they retired.

Margaret enjoyed traveling with Ivan and going to Packer and Brewer games. She additionally liked working in her garden and feeding the ducks and deer at their home on McDill Pond.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brothers John (Ellen) Pamperin; Ray (Marlene) Pamperin; Kurt (Karyn) Pamperin; Wally (Sandy) Pamperin; and one sister, Marie (Allen)Schaefer.

She is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Chris) Davis of Bedford, VA, and three granddaughters—Jenny (Rome) McQueen of Richmond, VA; Carol Whitaker of Rammstein Airforce Base, Germany; and Sarah McQueen, currently serving in the Peace Corps in Comoros, Africa.
