Thrivent Financial Launches “Live Generously WI”

STEVENS POINT —The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County was chosen as one of six Southern Wisconsin Thrivent Choice Organizations to compete for $5,000 in charitable funding.  Thrivent Financial, a not-for-profit membership organization of Christians, is hosting its first ever Live Generously WI campaign, which is a charitable initiative.

Voting runs from Monday, June 25 at 9am CST to Friday, June 29 at 3pm CST.  The organization with the most votes will receive $5,000. With the donation, the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County will be able to provide 2,000 healthy meals this summer for kids in Portage County. The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County is looking to the community to get involved by visiting www.livegenerouslywi.com and voting once each day.

A winner will be announced on Tuesday, July 8 at 11:15am from the Thrivent Member Network – South Wisconsin Region Facebook Page. Each of the six organizations will receive their prize at a check presentation ceremony broadcasted on Facebook Live.

Thrivent Choice is a charitable grant program that gives Thrivent Financial members the power to recommend where Thrivent distributes some of its charitable funds each year. Part of a not-for-profit? Learn how your organization can be considered for Thrivent Choice by visiting thrivent.com.
