Letter: Trump the art of the lie

To the Editor:

When trump is impeached, or his term is finally over, he will be busy writing books.  Possible titles might be the “Art of the Lie”, the “Art of the Tweet”, “The White House was my Personal ATM Machine”, and “My Greatest Bankruptcy, the Nation”.

Knowing trump, his presidential library will be in Trump Tower.

The Washington Post has been politically fact-checking him since taking office and estimate he is making more then 6-and-one-half lies a day, and the amount is increasing.  It doesn’t faze him to repeat his lies over and over.

The con-man, with his lies, has sold his gullible followers a fake bill of goods.  They will see no savings from his tax bill for the wealthy, itemized insurance deductions will no longer be possible for them, food stamps and other safety net programs will be cut back, and now he is even back-tracking on providing for pre-existing conditions.

Farmers who mostly back him will see the overseas markets for their products disappear, and many will be forced into bankruptcy.  The tariffs he is imposing on China and other nations will cause the prices of items at Walmart and the other places his followers shop to go up. The irony is the Republicans have been known as the party of fiscal discipline, yet the national debt will balloon with his tax bill.

The con-man said he was going to drain the swamp but he has created Jurassic Park. With the republican party in control of all branches of government, he has little fear of being impeached, especially with his being able to pick a another conservative supreme court justice while he is under investigation.

Hopefully, the Stormy Daniels and Mueller investigations, along with Cohen being the latest of his enablers to flip, will bring to light his Russian collusion, obstruction, money laundering, and sexual dalliances. Even if the Republicans fail to impeach, hopefully there will be a blue tidal wave in November, and justice will be done to a president who thinks he is above the law.

However, expect the lies to increase in the meantime from the con-man. Please consider voting democratic in November and encourage your friends to register and vote.

Trump would have to actually do something wrong for him to become impeached. Not being the person you liked or voted for is not a reason for impeachment. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only reason left have for this line of thinking. Quite possible you are confusing him with HIllary who has far more reason for criminal indictment than Trump.
Not sure what the real issue is for the left? Is it the booming economy? Actually enforcing immigration laws already on the books? Stronger national security? Negotiating fair trade globally? Attempting to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula without paying a ransom up front like the Iran deal? Tax cuts? Wage increases? Low unemployment? Historically low minority unemployment? Deregulation which is bringing back manufacturing companies to the US? Removal of 3 million citizens of food stamp dependence? Supporting police and military instead of throwing them under a bus at every turn like his predecessor?
What exactly is he supposed to get impeached over?

with regards to the tariffs on China…you do realize the unfair trade has a 507 billion dollar deficit per year, right? Do you comprehend what that really means? Our wealth is going to China, but you appear to be ok with that because he imposed a tariff meant to get them to agree to more fair trade and to stop stealing our intellectual property…(in case you don’t know what that is, it’s copying technology among other things and selling it as their own). Strategies like this take time…is it perfect, no. But it is a strategy because they need the US $$ a lot more than we need China $$.

Trump speaks his mind and doesn’t kowtow to media bullies….he goes strait to his voters thru social media instead of letting his message become filtered by the left media. Conventional, no. Does some make even me cringe? yep. But the man gets results and will eventually go down in History as one of the greatest President of all time.

I remember Reagan was brow beat by the left media for 8 years…..and years later it turns out he was a damn good President after all. This one is even better.

As much as I’m not a Trump fan, There has never been any evidence presented of collusion (which is not a crime), obstruction or money laundering. He’s not even being investigated for obstruction or money laundering.
