Obituary: Ron Lodzinski

Ron Lodzinski, age 81, of Allouez, passed away July 1, 2018 at home after a long battle with cancer. The son of Julius and Lucille (Bachinski) Lodzinski was born December 5, 1936 in Stevens Point.

He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1954 and served his country in the US Army 82nd Airborne. Ron worked as a produce manager for IGA in Stevens Point and then went on to a 37- year career with Consolidated Papers. He married Joanne Conradt and she preceded him in death in 2004. Together they had two children: Jeff (Jess) Lodzinski and Jill (Bob) Yudchitz and their daughter Erin (Eric) Olson.

In 2006, Ron married Anissa Willkom at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Green Bay. Together they have two children: Madelyn and Samuel, both at home. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Daniel (Antoinette) and Melvin “Mickey” (Joanne); and a nephew, Billy Lodzinski. Ron was an avid Badger football fan, Duke basketball fan and Yankees baseball fan. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Family and friends may visit at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew Street, Allouez, on Friday, July 6, from 1-3:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00pm with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Steven’s Point. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Our family would like to St. Vincent Cancer Center, Unity Hospice, and the St. Matthew Parish Community for their care and concern.
