Noon Lions hold annual meeting in Rosholt

ROSHOLT — The Stevens Point Noon Lions Club announced their new officers for the 2019 fiscal year.
The club, founded over 90 years ago, installed officers for its 2019 fiscal year during its meeting June 28 at the Wisconsin Lions Camp at Rosholt. Noon Lions played a significant volunteer role in the camp’s founding.
The Wisconsin Lions Camp hosted 1221 youth and adult campers in 2017. Youth and adult campers have disabilities including vision, hearing, diabetes, epilepsy, and intellectual disabilities. The Camp, founded in 1956, is operated by the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc.
The Stevens Point Noon Lions Club, founded in 1927, has assisted the founding of several other clubs in central Wisconsin, the latest being the UWSP Lions Club. The noon club meets one Thursday each month at Michele’s restaurant, and one Thursday evening at various area restaurants.
