Obituary: Betty Jane Nowacki

Betty Jane Nowacki, Age 76, died peacefully at home with her children at her side on Monday, July 9, 2018.

Betty was born on November 4, 1941, the daughter of Benjamin and Helen (Flaig) Neimczyk.

Betty lived in Anvil Michigan before returning to Stevens Point. She worked at St Michael’s Hospital for many years. She then became a realtor for a short time. Betty married her best friend Ronald Nowacki on July 13, 2002. She and Ron enjoyed many years together in their retirement, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at the Elk’s Lodge. After his death in 2011, Betty enjoyed trips to the casino, canning and sharing secret family recipes, and spending time visiting with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include her children: Dave (Chris) Chiapuzio, Dale Chiapuzio (Janelle), Mary Chiapuzio (Joe), Tammy Chiapuzio (Dan), and Wayne Chiapuzio (Carol). She is further survived by her sisters: Connie Jones, Mary (Bob) Ortscheid, Lucy (Mike) Liebe, Bonnie (Dennis) Lila, and Judy (Pat) Kinney. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as the extended family of Dominic Chiapuzio, all of whom were very dear to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron, daughter Sherry Garza, sisters Elaine Bacon, Irene Day and Shirley Kluck, and brother Richard Niemczyk.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday July 16, 2018 at the Pisarski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point.  Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Burial will take place in the St. Peter Parish cemetery.  Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
