Obituary: Evelyn E. (Elizabeth) “Butch” Klish

Evelyn E. (Elizabeth) “Butch” Klish, Of Woodruff, WI. formerly of Stevens Point passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Howard Young Hospital in Minocqua.

Age 91, Evelyn was born January 7, 1927 in Portage  County. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Grzywacz) Guzman. Her marriage to Gregory Klish took place on October 27, 1945 at St. Peters Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens  Point, moving to Woodruff in 1987. Greg preceded her in death on March 31, 2003.  Butch worked at Weber Tackle Co., and also Pope’s Lodge, the Beer Bar and Headwaters in Woodruff. She was a member of the Rosary Society, American Legion Auxilary, and the VFW. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved baking. Survivors include her brother Clarence (Delores) Guzman of Plover and a sister Delores “Blondie” (Clarence) Bruski of Wittenberg, WI. Her godson and nephew Gerald “Jerry” (Cindy) Guzman and numerous other nieces and nephews, and a special friend Barb Strong of Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory, two sons Peter and Paul, two brothers Johnny (Johanna) and Joe (Vicki) Guzman and a sister Eleanor (Chet) Niemczyk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Monday at the St. Faustina room of St. Peters Church until the time for mass. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
