City band announces final concerts of the season

(Ninth/Tenth Concert – Tuesday, July 31 & Wednesday, August 1)
STEVENS POINT — “Play It Again – Highlights of 2018” will be the theme when the Stevens Point City Band presents its final concerts of the year on July 31 and August 1.
The band, under the direction of Kathryn Kawleski, will perform at 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, at Atrium Post Acute Care, 1800 Sherman Avenue, Stevens Point, and at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 2, in the band shell at Pfiffner Pioneer Park.
The final concerts will feature highlights from the summer season, including “”Roller Coaster”, “Tijuana Brass in Concert”, “Albanian Dance”, “A Touch of Broadway”, “Instant Swing Concert”, “The Iron Horse Across America” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever”. “Americans We” by Henry Fillmore will be the music for the weekly children’s march.
Both concerts are free of charge and open to the public. Audience members should bring chairs or blankets for seating. In the event of inclement weather, the Wednesday concert will be held in the gymnasium at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 1919 Wyatt Avenue, Stevens Point.
