Obituary: Rita Martha Kosobucki

Rita Martha Kosobucki, age 85 of Rosholt, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her home with her loving family surrounding her.  She was born on July 1, 1933 in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County, the daughter of Felix and Martha (Stanislawski) Trzebiatowski.  She married Chester Kosobucki on June 20, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway.

Mrs. Kosobucki attended Wittenberg High School and graduated in 1951.  Rita was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church as well as the Rosary Society. She was a devoted wife to her husband Chester as he battled cancer as well as a loving mom, grandma & great grandma.  Her life revolved around her family, friends, church and family farm.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking.

She is survived by; her children, Michael D. (Cynthia) of Stevens Point, Martin of Rosholt, Rose (Jimmie) Nassen of Stevens Point, Jean (James) Cunningham of Rosholt and Alan of Rosholt; grandchildren, Ralph Voigt, Aileen (Josh) Sirkis, Adam Rozak, Duane (Marie) Kosobucki, Trisha (Cyle) LaChat, Charles Cunningham, Samuel Cunningham and Jacob Cunningham; great grandchildren, Oliver, Caitlyn and Edmund; brothers August (Caroline)  and Andrew (Cheryl) Trzebiatowski both of Galloway; sisters, Helen (Ronald) Groshek of Milwaukee, Sr. Margaret Trzebiatowski of Withee and Maxine Chojnacki of Milwaukee; her God-children, Robert Lemanski, Anne Zakrzewski, Thomas Groshek and Todd Trzebiatowski; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; husband, Chet in 1992; sister, Katherine Meronk; infant brother, David Trzebiatowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Adalbert Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00AM with Rev. Jeffrey Hennes officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 4-7:00PM with a rosary service at 7:00PM. Visitation again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of the Mass.

Rita’s family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Marshfield Hospital for the tender care and support they gave our mom.
