Man dies after being struck by train in Stockton

STOCKTON — A 20-year-old man has died after being struck by a train in the Town of Stockton.
According to reports, on Sunday morning at approximately 4:40 a.m., a man was struck by a Canadian National Railway train while on the tracks, east of Custer Road, and south of Custer Drive in the Town of Stockton. The man was extricated from the train and rushed to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau via Spirit Air Ambulance.
The man died as a result of his injuries. The name of the deceased will be released at a later time, and the incident remains under investigation.
Additional responding agencies included the Stevens Point Fire Department, Stockton E.M.S, Stockton Fire Department, Portage County Ambulance, and Spirit Air Ambulance.
