Amherst Opera House V 2.0 – 6:30 p.m.
-Presented by the Amherst Opera House Co. Guild, this gathering will celebrate the purchase of the opera house, nearly a year ago. This event is located at 207 N Main St.
Live Music: Mojoe & Flipside – 6PM
-As apart of PJ’s Live, enjoy blues from longtime favorites, Mojoe & Flipside. Located at 601 N. Michigan Ave.
Summer Kids Series at Rogers Cinema (Aug. 8-11)
-This series continues with a weekend showing of Jumanji. Admission for kids is $2.
Thursday, Aug. 9
Sustainability Movies – 6:30 p.m.
-Hosted by Interfaith Community, enjoy a free set of movies regarding the issue of sustainability. Located at 1001 Main St. inside the Portage County Library.
Saturday, Aug. 11
Taste of the Town 2018 – 5PM
-Join this annual event hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin. This annual fundraiser kicks off at Pfiffner Park, and will feature an array of food, beverages, prizes, and more from local businesses.
Live Music: Shoestring Joe and The Star Thief – 10PM
-Described as “Jamcoustic Grassaggae”, check them out at Main Street Taps, 956 Main St.
Sunday, Aug. 12
Bancroft Good Old Days (Aug. 11-12) – 10AM
-Located at 5529 Highway W, enjoy an array of food, games, activities, and more. Featured performance by HYDE on Aug. 11. at 7PM.
St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Picnic – 10AM
-Located at 2493 Highway M, this event features polka, a family chicken dinner, games, crafts, ice cream and more.
Tuesday, Aug. 14
Kids From Wisconsin – 7:30 p.m.
-In their 50th year, Kids From Wisconsin will pay Sentry Theater, 1800 Northpoint Dr. Admission is $19.50 for adults, $16.50 for seniors. This event is hosted by the Plover Kiwanis Club.
Wednesday, Aug. 15
Live Music: Gray Catz – 6PM
-Head over to PJ’s for their continued live music series, located at 601 N. Michigan Ave.

-This series continues with a weekend showing of Peter Rabbit. Admission for kids is $2.
Thursday, Aug. 16
Live Music: Almost Famous – 5:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 17
Live Music: Chaz N’ Gerry – 6PM
-Playing at Central Waters Brewery, 351 Allen St., check out this acoustic duo in Amherst on Friday night.
Wine Walk – 4PM
-Held in downtown Stevens Point, enjoy samples of wine from various wineries around Wisconsin. Admission is $30. Registration for the event will be at the square.
Live Music: Patchouli – 7PM
-Patchouli is a folk festival favorite, and will play Rising Star Mill, 3190 County Highway Q.
Saturday, Aug. 18
Stevens Point Boat Drags – 11AM
-Held at Bullhead’s, 3368 Campsite Dr., enjoy boat drag races from 11-3. Spitfire Rodeo to perform live at 7PM.
Monday, Aug. 20
Stay Healthy and Hydrated – 1PM
-Hosted at Brookdale Stevens Point, 5625 Sandpaper Dr., enjoy an educational seminar on preventing heat-related illness.
