Joan R. Danczyk, age 91, of Stevens Point, died Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Marshfield Medical Center with her loving family at her side.  Joan was born on March 8, 1927 in Portage County, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Gburek) Kubowski.  She attended Mill Creek School.  Her marriage to Joseph A. Danczyk took place on May 6, 1944 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek,  After their marriage, the couple settled, raised their family and farmed in the town of Dewey.  Her husband Joseph preceded her in death on August 27, 1966.

Mrs. Danczyk was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Rosary Society and the Third Order of St. Francis.   Joan was a homemaker but she also was employed as a cook, custodian and provided in home care throughout her life.  She enjoyed raising Parakeets, cooking and especially doing puzzles.  Spending time with family was her greatest joy but her faith was her strength.  She is survived by her children, Joseph Danczyk of Junction City, Stephen (Marjorie) Danczyk of Wisconsin Rapids and Joan (Larry) Rutkowski of Stevens Point;  13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Andrew; granddaughter, Amanda Rutkowski; siblings, Mary Ziolkowski, Ben and Leon Kubowski; along with other relatives.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Peter Catholic Church at 11:00AM on Friday, August 17, 2018 with Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating.  Burial will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery.  Family and friends may call from 9:00AM Friday, in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peters Church, until the time of the Mass.  A rosary will be prayed at 9:30AM in the St. Faustina room Friday morning. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
