Victoria (Vicky) Lynn Vetter, 58, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, as a result of complications from Type II diabetes and a recent fall.

Vicky was born July 21, 1960, to Hans and Jacqueline (Viertel) and raised in Stevens Point. She attended Washington Elementary School and P.J. Jacobs Junior High. She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1979.

She attended Madison Area Technical College and held a variety of positions in retail, including Park Ridge Pharmacy & Gift and the CenterPoint Mall. She moved to Appleton in 2001 to work for Steins’s Garden & Home.

Vicky had a huge heart and was a fan of the animals and volunteering at various animal organizations in both Stevens Point and Appleton.

Vicky had a deep love for family and is survived by her father, Hans; step-mother, Sheryl; brother, Hans (Martha); sister, Christine; and step-sister Deidre (Sean) Schwartz Jordan. She also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; her favorite uncle, Kurt Viertel; and cat, Gracie.

Vicky was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Jacqueline Vetter; step-sister, Darcy Schwartz; and step-brother, Todd Schwartz.

A private memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date.
