Donna R. (Rae) Konkol of Plover died Monday morning August 20, 2018 at the Lodge of Whispering Pines Assisted Living Center surrounded by her loving family.

Age 80, Donna was born October 26, 1937 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Frances (Cisewski) Ostrander. She attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. Her marriage to Eugene “Gene” Konkol took place on October 27, 1956 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Her husband Gene survives. Donna was well known when she worked in the Sears Catalog Store, the Plover Pharmacy and for St. Bronislava School in the kitchen.  She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and spending time with her “partner in crime” Sally Michelkamp. She also liked taking trips to the casinos, gambling and playing the 6,5,4, Dice game.

Her and Gene loved traveling together, and she even made a trip to Europe with her sister Glenis. Her most precious time was being with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her annual holiday baking and shopping day with her daughters.

Donna was a member of the PCCW of St. Bronislava Church and the VFW Auxiliary Post 10262. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Donna’s name will be established. Survivors include her husband Gene, her children William (Linda) Konkol, Ronald (Kathy) Konkol, Lori Konkol (John), Sharon (Don) Lloyd and Brenda (Ron) Sobczak. Her eleven grandchildren; Marilee, April, Ashley, Lindsey, Kristopher, Nicole, Tyler, Torrey, Kendra, Dylan and Olivia, and her ten great great grandchildren Alex, Riley, Datavion, Avery, Silas, Lukas, Deena, Cole, Sawyer and Jaxton. She was preceded in death by 1 infant great grandchild Daxxon,  Diane Konkol (daughter-in-law), two brothers and four sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. Ed Shuttleworth officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Friday at St. Bronislava Church until the time for mass. There will be a PCCW Rosary prayed at 10:00 A.M. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Online condolences maybe sent by visiting www.pisarskifuneralhome.com

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Karen Trzebiatowski and her staff at the Lodge of Whispering Pines for their loving care given to our mother, and to the Staff at Heartland Hospice for their guidance and understanding.
