Flash flood watch in effect until Tuesday

STEVENS POINT — A flash flood watch has been issued for Portage County by the National Weather Service.
According to the alert: “A warm front and strong flow of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico
will produce heavy rain across the region tonight into early Tuesday”.
This watch includes all counties in East-Central Wisconsin. Conditions may develop into a flash flood warning. Flooding of streets, creeks and small streams are all possible through the next day.
Thunderstorms in the area may produce rain amounts of up to and over three inches.
