Obituary: Thomas “Tom” Manske
Thomas “Tom” Manske of Stevens Point, passed away Saturday evening September 1, 2018 at age 62.
A Celebration of Life Service for Tom will be held at 2:00 pmon Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Friends and family will be gathering to share their memories of Tom from Noon, Friday until the service begins at 2:00 pm.
Tom was born April 26, 1956 in Stevens Point, the son of the late David and Grace (Warner) Manske. He graduated from SPASH in 1974, and began work as a mechanic for Groshek Auto Service. Tom married Linda Ziolkowski in 1978 in Stevens Point. The same year, he began his career at Del Monte in Plover and was a Senior Boiler Engineer until his passing. Tom was eternally devoted to being the best husband, father and grandfather. He loved going to work, and having friends and family over to their home for football, trivia or swimming. Tom was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, and was always happy to be everyone’s “Mr. Fix It.”
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda and daughters Tara Manske (Deanna Wray); Dana Spindler; Tama (Nate) Niemi. Two grandchildren, Kyra and Aidan Lauersdorf. His sister, Kathy Hibler, and four brothers, Chuck, Ron, Ken, and Bill Manske.
