Obituary: Robin W. Laars
Robin W. Laars, age 32, of Stevens Point, succumbed to suicide on September 7, 2018.
He was born December 26, 1985 to Roger and Bethann (Link) Laars on Beaver Island, MI. He attended grade school and completed high school in Rosholt, WI. He relocated to Kansas for a short time before settling back into the Stevens Point area.
Robin was a jack of all trades who was able to contribute to any employers needs. He was also a talented artist who enjoyed free drawing and creating tattoo renditions. Robin was also involved with historical reenactment from the time period of 1777 to 1830; and had earned the nickname “Seldom Seen”. -Robin had earned a memorable place in the hearts of his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Bethann; siblings, Jeremy (Julie) Barrett, Ryan (Carrie) Cramer, Amanda Spangler, Jaime (John) Nelson, and Rachel Morey; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and extend family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Laars; grandparents, Carol and Robert Laars; aunt, Judy Anderson; and cousin, Denise Anderson.
A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Johnson presiding. A time of visitation will precede at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
