Obituary: John Stanley Groholski
John Stanley Groholski, age 78, of Stevens Point, died September 11, 2018.
He was born in Stevens Point to the late Michael and Johanna (Wanta) Groholski on December 22, 1939.
John completed his electrical training in the U.S. Army. He began his career working as an electrician in Alaska before returning to the area where he worked for Van Ert Electric eventually becoming a part owner. John promoted the electrical field to many. He was very passionate about his work.
He married Judith Becker on July 3, 1965 in Anchorage, Alaska.
John was a member of the Stevens Point Evening Lions as well as the Moose Lodge 1572.
John and his wife Judy loved to travel; they were able to set foot on all 7 continents. John was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; sisters, Angie (Marty) Fahey and Terry Brezinski; brothers-in-law, Luke Wojtalewicz and Don Faast; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Irene (Ed) Sliwicki, Lorraine Wojtalewicz, Jean Thompson, Alice Faast, Delores (Dee) Groholski, August (Maxine) Grocholski, Myron Groholski, & Joe Groholski.
In lieu of memorial flowers, donations may be made to Wisconsin Lions Camp, Rosholt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Family Center on Monday, September 17, 2018.
Visitation will be at 3:00 p.m. with Memorial Service at 4:30 p.m.
