Amherst boys, girls cross country at SPASH Invite
The Amherst High School boys and girls cross country teams both competed at the SPASH Invitational at Standing Rocks County Park Saturday, Sept. 8.
The Amherst girls finished 13th overall, while the boys were 16th.
Freshman Dylan Werachowski was 34th to lead the Amherst girls, followed by freshman Nicole Eiden (58th), senior Lindsay Dose (63rd), senior Rebecca Ostrowski (75th), sophomore Kate Omernik (90th), senior Victoria Weier (122nd) and freshman Samantha Anglemyer (128th).
SPASH had 53 points to finish atop the girls overall standings over Verona Area (108), while Auburndale had 202 points to win the Small School Title over Rosholt (245), followed by Mosinee (305), Amherst (305) and Edgar (373).
Adam Wise finished 16th overall to lead the Amherst boys, followed by freshman Noah Barz (117th), senior Dylan Kostuch (132nd), sophomore Tuvshin Anderson (138th) and freshman Ben Lee (142nd).
The Amherst boys finished with 507 points, while the SPASH boys had 50 points to win the Large School Division Title over Marshfield (104), and Rosholt (204) won the Small School Division Title.
