INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Just weeks after closing its doors, Bon-Ton Stores has already re-opened many brands under their umbrella, including Younkers.
Visiting younkers.com will greet internet browsers with a message: “We’re Back, and We’re Here to Stay” — According to a statement released by new Bon-Ton President Jordan Voloshin, of CSC Generation, an Indiana-base technology firm, “We were inspired by the opportunity to rebuild an American Icon.”
Voloshin stated that such reasons for reopening also include the customer’s love for Bon-Ton stores, including loyal employees. However, according to a representative within the company, the re-opening is currently online only.
Whether or not the former Younkers Plover location will be re-opened, or if a new location will be re-opened, remains to be seen. Current plans are for the company to “slowly” re-open stores by the end of 2018, but no official word on which specific stores those will be.
