Rzentkowski wins again, as Rosholt edged by SPASH

Rosholt High School senior Adam Rzentkowski won the Individual Title, while the Hornets came up just short of winning the Team Title at the Rosholt Invitational Thursday, Sept. 27.
Rzentkowski won for the fifth time in five races this season, as he had a time of 16:34.57 to finish ahead of Clintonville freshman Jesse Wilson (16:44.23).
Ranked second in Division 3 by the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association, Rosholt totaled 45 points to finish behind the Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) Junior Varsity (44), while Pacelli Catholic High School (153) was sixth.
Senior Zach Lepak finished third overall for Rosholt, followed by senior Bryan Cook (ninth), sophomore Anthony Bianco (14th), sophomore Sam Trzebiatowski (18th), senior Isaiah Cherek (22nd) and sophomore Damian Dulak (27th), as the team’s No. 2 runner, junior Matthew Ross, was held out of the meet.
Junior Simon Bushmaker finished fifth overall to lead SPASH, followed by sophomore Josh Bourget (sixth), senior Simone Coli (eighth), freshman Kyle Franz (12th), junior Johnny Ceplina (13th), sophomore Mark Rice (16th), senior Max Sobczak (17th) and junior Ethan Pelot (19th).
Senior Trevor Frane placed 15th to lead Pacelli, with sophomore Sam Grywacz (25th), freshman Ben Haemmerle (35th), junior Sam Franz (37th), sophomore Jacob Zimmerman (51st), and junior Mitchell Jensen (56th) rounding out the team’s lineup.
