STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point Women of the Moose (WOTM) will have their first annual Craft Fair
entitled “Bullwinkle’s Bazaar!” on Oct. 20 from 9AM to 3PM at the Moose Family Center, 1025 2nd St. North.
Thirty-five indoor vendors are registered filling the Loyal banquet room and 25 more will overflow into the outdoor area. Vendors have responded from Oshkosh, Merrill, Iola, Junction City, Wisconsin Rapids, Tomahawk, Plover, Stevens Point to name a few.
“This is a first time event for me but our group tried it one time before I was a member,” said Sue Hintz, Senior Regent and Coordinator of the Craft Fair. “I have great mentors including Ann Kiefer, organizer of “Crafticopia”, Amy Schilling, who is part of the Junior Women’s Club who host ‘Tinsel Trail’ and Peggy McDowell, who owns
Jester Studio in Tomahawk.”
McDowell, one of the vendors and Hintz’ sister is offering original dog portraits and “Jest-in-Fun” tarot card readings. Warm, fresh cinnamon rolls will be offered at 9AM with flavored coffees/cocoas followed by luncheon items to include BBQ plate with drink for $5. The Lodge’s own innovative chef, Amy Van Meter, is providing Chicago-style dogs through Dilly Dahl Deli while WOTM co-workers, headed by Cheryll West, will serve BBQ plates.
Children’s free make-and take craft tables are offered with pumpkin decorating while they last. A “mini” Wellness Corner including hand massaging and foot care is also featured. All Craft Fair proceeds will be donated to K-9 Unit of Stevens Point and Moose Charities.
