Pacelli volleyball sweeps Port Edwards

The Pacelli Catholic High School volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Central Wisconsin Conference (CWC) South with a 3-0 win over Port Edwards at the Student Activities Center Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Guided by assistant coach Eric Gehl, the Cardinals won 25-10 in the first game, then won 25-9 and 25-10 to complete the sweep.
Junior Sarah Mueller had eight kills, freshman Kylie Struble finished with eight digs, sophomore Molly Lawlis totaled seven kills, sophomore Emma Van Order recorded six digs, senior Karah Kluck dished out 25 assists, junior Madi Hintz had five aces, and senior Teesa Shafranski added four aces to lead Pacelli (19-14).
The Cardinals will host the CWC South Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, as Pacelli (6-0) leads the conference over Rosholt (5-1) and Port Edwards (3-3).
