The regular season wrapped up for high school football teams across the state with Week 9 of the season Friday, Oct. 12.

In the battle for the Central Wisconsin Conference (CWC)-Large Title, Division 5 third-ranked Amherst lost 31-15 to Division 6 top-ranked Iola-Scandinavia.

Division 7 10th-ranked Almond-Bancroft jumped out to a 43-0 lead in the first quarter on Marion/Tigerton on the way to clinching the CWC-Small Title outright with a 49-6 win. Senior running back Zach Bunders scored three touchdowns in the first quarter in three different ways: on a fumble recovery, a 43-yard touchdown reception and a 73-yard touchdown run.

Rosholt clinched a playoff berth with a 45-0 win at home over Tri-County.

Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) needed a win to secure a playoff berth, but lost 42-7 at top-ranked Fond du Lac.

Pacelli Catholic High School had its season come to a close with a 50-20 loss to Bonduel at Community Stadium at Goerke Field.

The Cardinals rushed for 186 yards on 50 carries in the loss, as senior running back Xander Schmitz rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries, senior running Ben Lundgren had 50 yards rushing and one touchdown on 15 carries, and freshman quarterback Drew Kedrowicz completed 5-of-9 passes for 50 yards, with zero touchdowns and one interception.
