AMHERST — The Jensen Community Center in Amherst, WI is excited to bring Steve March-Tormé to the stage on Friday, December 7, 2018. The evening will begin with a dinner and cocktail reception from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and the holiday show, featuring March-Tormé and his band, starts at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets may be purchased for the dinner and show or the show only.

March-Tormé is the son of the multi-talented Mel Tormé and stepson of the actor/comedian Hal March, host of NBC’s The $64,000 Question.

On the recommendation of Quincy Jones, Steve was selected to be in the vocal group Full Swing. After successful tours of the United States, Brazil and Japan, Steve left the group to focus on his solo career. He has since released four “jazz/pop” albums, the first being “Swingin’ at the Blue Moon Bar & Grille,” which features a live duet between Steve and his dad Mel on “Straighten Up and Fly Right.” He followed that up with the albums “The Night I Fell For You”, a blend of originals and standards and “The Essence of Love”, which includes a playful duet with jazz icon Diane Schuur.

His album “So Far”, combines the most popular material from his first three CDs into one “best of” recording. Steve’s latest CD, “inside/out,” is a set of 12 brand new, original tunes written entirely by Steve and is the first CD he’s recorded on which he not only sings but plays keyboards and guitar.

Steve has wooed audiences in every venue from intimate jazz clubs to Performing Arts Centers to festivals worldwide (Australia, England, Japan, Canada, and Brazil to name a few).

In addition to his performing and recording career, March-Tormé also hosts his own radio show every Thursday and Friday afternoon on the syndicated The New Music of Your Life network, and is the voice every weekday morning and afternoon on 91.1 FM The Avenue in Northeast Wisconsin.

The December 7 event at the Jensen Center begins with a spaghetti dinner and social hour at 5:30 p.m. catered by Ambrosia Pub & Grill, featuring Central Waters Brewing Company beer. The concert begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.

General admission tickets for the evening are $18 in advance for the show only and $25 for the dinner and show. Advance tickets must be purchased by December 6 at Noon. Tickets may be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3607028 or by calling (800)-838-3006. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for the show only for $23.
