Pacelli volleyball team wins playoff opener

The Pacelli Catholic High School volleyball team opened the postseason with a win Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The fourth-seeded Cardinals (23-15) won 3-0 over 13th-seeded Menominee Indian in a WIAA Division 3 Regional Quarterfinal by scores of 25-23, 25-10, 25-10.

Senior Emily King and sophomore Julia Jakusz each had eight kills, senior Karah Kluck finished with 27 assists, and junior Madison Hintz totaled eight digs to lead Pacelli.
The win set up a showdown with fifth-seeded Amherst in the Regional Semifinals, as Pacelli will host the Falcons at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.
