City announces date for leaf collection

STEVENS POINT — Leaf collection in Stevens Point will begin at 7AM on Monday, Oct. 29.
According to a city news release, “all leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste must be in bags at curbside by 7 AM on the 29th. (There will be no branch collection.)”
Crews will stop by at some point to pick up the bagged leaves.
- Leaves and grass clippings should be in any color plastic bag.
- No bags larger than 33 gallons.
- Do not put leaves out any earlier than October 28.
- Any yard waste placed out prematurely will be subject to removal with the cost charged to the property owner.
- Leave room for your garbage and recycle carts. Bags should be four feet away from carts.
City officials want to remind resident that curbside yard waste pick-up is for those who cannot bring their yard waste to the drop-off.
City Drop-Off Hours
- Tuesday, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Thursday, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
The yard waste drop-off is located at 100 Sixth Ave.
