UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield to stage 30 short plays in 60 minutes Nov. 1-4

STEVENS POINT — Get ready for a wild, interactive ride as the Campus Community Players present 30 neo-futuristic plays in 60 minutes at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield next month.
“Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 1-3, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in the Helen Connor Laird Theater, 2000 W. Fifth St., Marshfield. Brad Schmicker of UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield will direct. Free pizza will be served after each show if more than 100 people attend the performance.
Written by Greg Allen, the show challenges an ensemble cast to perform 30 short plays in one hour, in any order that the audience choses. The material includes comic bits, spontaneity and great fun. Due to some language and adult humor, the show is suggested for mature audiences.
“Sit back, but do not relax. You’ll laugh, you’ll think this cast is really clever,” said Schmicker. “You’ll hope the cast picks on you to participate and you’ll be glad the cast does not choose you.”
General admission tickets are $12 or free for UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield students. Tickets are available at Box Office in the Helen Connor Laird Fine Arts Building, by calling 715-346-6534 or online at http://marshfield.uwc.edu/campus/arts/tickets.
