PLOVER — The public is invited to join fellow crafters for a monthly program at the Plover and Almond Libraries of the Portage County Public Library.  At the Plover Library, Crafternoon takes place on the second Wednesday of the month at 2:00 PM.  At the Almond Library, Crafternoon is held on the second Wednesday of the month at 12:30 PM.

November’s featured craft at the Plover Library will be German Stars, led by local artisan Bill Zimdars.  The program will take place on Nov. 14.

“Make a lovely German folded paper star to hang on your Christmas tree or to gift,” said Laura Fuller, Branch Librarian, “the library will provide all supplies for this free program.”

At the Almond Library, Crafternoon will break in November, but continue in December with a wreath making event on Dec. 12.

Registration is required, class size is limited.

To register, or for more information, call the Plover Branch Library at 715-341-4007.  The Portage County Public Library has branches in Stevens Point, Plover, Rosholt, and Almond.
