One in custody after Town of Hull stabbing

HULL — Police have a juvenile in custody after allegedly stabbing a 31-year-old woman early this morning.
According to a Sheriff’s news release, at approximately 4:51 a.m. in the Town of Hull, a 9-1-1 call was received regarding a possible stabbing on the 1500 block of Torun Road. The caller informed police that the suspect had fled the home after the assault.
Deputies discovered the woman on the scene, who had suffered multiple stab wounds. Authorities soon promptly found and apprehended the suspect. The juvenile suspect was identified as a relative of the victim and taken into custody without incident where he remains at the Portage County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The victim was transported to Saint Michael’s Hospital by Portage County Ambulance where she was treated. Her condition currently remains unknown.
The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting at the scene was the Stevens Point Police Department as well as the Town of Hull Emergency Medical Responders.
No further information will be released at this time.
