Obituary: Richard A. Kolinski

Rick ‘KoKo’ Kolinski found peace on November 10, 2018, after suffering a cardiac event in April 2018.
Rick was born in Stevens Point Wisconsin on March 13, 1959 to Richard and Dorothy Kolinski (Bednarski). Rick graduated from SPASH and later received a degree in welding from MSTC. Rick was employed by Joerns Healthcare for most of his adult life; his last employer was Worzalla Publishing. Rick married Paula Woodward on October 26, 2001.
Born and raised in Stevens Point, Rick was a proud ‘northsider.’ In life and in death, friends and family meant the most to him. Rick often said that at the end it doesn’t matter what you have, but the friends you made along the way. His greatest passion in life was hunting and fishing with his father, uncle Jim, cousin Mark and nephew Kyle.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Paula of Stevens Point; stepdaughter Amanda Genovese (Matt McElroy) of Hillsborough, NC; mother Dorothy Kolinski of Stevens Point; sister-in-law Pamela Woodward of Madison; mother-in-law Ruth Woodward of Waupaca; uncle Jim Kolinski (Jackie) of Plover, aunt Charlotte Kedrowski of Stevens Point and aunt Liz Suchowski of Plover – along with cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends. Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard.
“Thank you, Ricky, my husband, my best friend, for loving me unconditionally and for being a wonderful stepfather to Mandy. Thank you for making me laugh. You will live on forever in my heart.”
