William Roger Rekowski Sr., age 81, passed away Friday November 16, 2018 at Our Place Assisted Living in Plover.
A Mass of a Christian Burial for William will be held at 11:00AM on Monday November 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Stevens Point. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz will officiate. Friends and family may gather to share memories on Monday from 10-11AM at the church. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.

Bill was born in on April 19, 1937, the son of Sylvester and Mary (Kulas) Rekowski. Bill grew up in Stevens Point where he attended local schools and graduated from PJ Jacob’s High School. In 1960 Bill married Evelyn Pawelski. He worked for consolidated papers until he finished his career as a fork lift operator until retirement.
Bill enjoyed many hobbies which include; gardening, fishing, woodworking, attending auctions, and going to the casino. He loved watching the Packers and Brewers as well as listening to polka music.

Bill is survived by Evelyn (spouse of 58 years), daughter Carrie (Arlyn) Rekowski of Bancroft, son William Rekowski Jr. (Shirley) of Steven Point, grandson Travis (Kelsey) Rekowski of Mukwonago, granddaughter Tanya (Travis) Hanson of Stevens Point, four great-grandchildren Skyler & Caiden Rekowski, Aiden & Bailey Hanson.
He was preceded in death by his parents in addition to brothers Raymond Rekowski, Gilbert Rekowski, and sister Irene Pudroski.
