A trio of local high school volleyball players were named to the 2018 Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Team.

Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) seniors Gabby Johnson and Kayla Lass were both named Honorable Mention All-State for Division 1, while Pacelli Catholic High School senior Karah Kluck was named Honorable Mention All-State for Division 3.

Johnson led the Wisconsin Valley Conference (WVC) this season with a .287 attack percentage and was a Unanimous First Team All-WVC selection at middle blocker, after she helped SPASH go 11-1 in conference to win the WVC Title this season.

A NCAA Division 1 University of Wisconsin-Green Bay commit, Lass finished fourth in the conference in kills (137), sixth in digs (182) and seventh in attack percentage (.229).

Lass was also a Unanimous First Team All-WVC selection at outside hitter this season for the second year in a row, while Panthers went on to reach the WIAA Division 1 Sectional Finals, where they lost to eventual State Semifinalist River Falls.

Kluck was a four-year starter as a setter for Pacelli, and was Honorable Mention All-Central Wisconsin Conference-8 (CWC-8) as a freshman, Second Team All-CWC-8 as a sophomore and First Team All-CWC South as junior in 2017.

This season, she was a Unanimous First Team All-CWC-South selection and the CWC-South Player of the Year, as the Cardinals won their second consecutive Conference Title and advanced to the WIAA Division 3 Regional Finals.
