Jeanette Blaskey, age 84, of Custer, WI died unexpectedly in the emergency room surrounded by her husband Val, friends and family on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI.    She was born on July 23, 1934 in Amherst Junction to Rudolph and Alvina (Lemanchik) Wanserski.  Jeanette attended Amherst Schools and loved to spend time on her home farm with her pet dog Peanuts.  After high school, she worked at

Krogwold Farms and later worked at Sentry Insurance as a data recorder and had a career there of 43 years.  She met the love of her life while working at Sentry and was married to Val Blaskey for 63 years.  Jeanette was full of kindness and loved to go fishing and camping.  In her later years she spent her time canning, baking and cooking.  She loved to pick berries and grow a vegetable garden.  Jeanette enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends.  She delivered bread and meals to others in need.  Jeanette will be missed by the many that she touched.  She was a member of the Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Church.  She volunteered at the church steak feed nights and packed thousands of pickles for patrons.  Jeanette also enjoyed eating out at her favorite local restaurants.

She is survived by her husband Val and 1 niece and 2 nephews.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her father Rudolph Wanserski, mother Alvina Wanserski, cousin Beverely Piso, cousin Jan Trebiatowski, Aunt Harriet and Uncle Stanley Wanserski.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.  Rev. Gregory Michaud will officiate.  Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services Saturday morning at the Church.  A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM Saturday at the Church.  Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
